Anna is incredibly passionate about the indigenous aromatic varietals of Catalunya. The parcel of Muscat is located within a stone's throw from the Ca N'Estruc cellar. The vines are roughly 40 years old, planted on gravel soils with limestone subsoils. The grapes macerate on their skins throughout the fermentation for about 10 days. Anna finds the skin contact gives an extra dimension to the wine, lifting the fruit and adding savory, even bitter, elements to the composition. Notes of yellow fruits, almond flowers and dried herbs dominate, with distinct confit citrus acidity and saltiness as its backbone. The result is quintessentially Mediterranean, full of sunshine, the kind of wine that makes you travel straight to Barcelona.
